Feel free to keep checking our site for any updates on Jericho.

If your son isn't connected to the on-line Jericho fandom, then please tell
him about us. There are so many viewers that don't know about the movie and
the effort to bring back Jericho.

As for Nielsen, they can't count! There is some good news, the track back
data from cable/satellite customers is improving every day and eventually
Nielsen will be forced to change or be taken over. This is being done
without the monitoring that people objected to. What they want is the raw
data of how many are watching and then they want to combine that with panels
(that volunteer their information) to get a better picture of how the
programs/ads are doing. The research so far has shown that advertisers want
an audience that is invested in their program, like the Jericho fans are.

Gwen

<-----Original Message-----
<from: disqus="" [mailto:]="" <sent:="" wednesday,="" february="" 11,="" 2009="" 5:28="" pm="" <to:="" gwen@az-technology.com="" <subject:="" [concept53]="" re:="" jericho="" <="" <rickd335="" wrote,="" in="" response="" to="" ratkeeper:="" <="" <yeah="" -="" some="" of="" us="" don't="" have="" nielsen="" boxes,="" and="" never="" would="" -="" <i="" don't="" like="" being="" monitored="" like="" that="" -="" but="" it="" was="" a="" great="" <series="" and="" i'm="" hopeful="" they="" can="" pull="" off="" a="" full-blown="" <theatrical="" release="" that="" sets="" up="" the="" story="" and="" takes="" us="" past="" <where="" it="" ended="" on="" tv.="" <="" <="" <="" <nice="" site,="" btw="" :)="" <="" <link="" to="" comment:="" <http:="" concept53.com="" 2009="" 02="" 10="" jericho="" #comment-6196098="" <="" <--="" <you="" may="" reply="" to="" this="" email="" to="" post="" your="" response.="" to="" turn="" off="" <notifications,="" go="" to="" your="" disqus="" settings="" at:="" <http:="" disqus.com="" settings="" notifications="" <="" <="">

Re: Jericho

Yeah - some of us don't have Nielsen boxes, and never would - I don't like being monitored like that - but it was a great series and I'm hopeful they can pull off a full-blown theatrical release that sets up the story and takes us past where it ended on TV.

Nice site, btw :)

Re: Jericho

Great article. The fans are stiling working hard to get more Jericho - we knwo there were more viewers than Nielsen can count!

Gwen
www.jericho-kansas.com

Re: Jericho

More than welcome, and after seeing how the various thematic elements were handled, I'll probably check out the big-screen version. I'm more than a tad disappointed that the show didn't draw a larger viewing audience (which would have kept it on the air longer, obviously), but it wasn't really a good fit for CBS, which seems to prefer dumbed-down, mass market entertainment over thought-provoking material.

The outsourcing of our intelligence and security functions to private corporations still continues, and the parallels to the show are still valid. Scary stuff...

Re: Jericho

Thank you for your article. Jericho may be gone for now but its passionate die-hard fan base continue to fight for its future. There is a movie in the works and hopefully another network or cable channel will pick it up for more seasons. There is still so much more story left to tell.
